Previously referred to in French as Alliance verte européenne. Transformed coordination as European Federation of Green Parties (EFGP), Jun 1993, Helsinki (Finland). Current title adopted, Feb 2004, Rome (Italy). Secretariat located in Brussels (Belgium).
Ensure a close and permanent cooperation among member ecology parties so as to accomplish a common policy; stimulate and organize initiatives and activities on a European scale; adopt an open, active, constructive and critical approach to the ongoing integration processes in Europe towards world-wide cooperation.
