1966, as Institute of the International Labour Movement of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR -- Institut du mouvement ouvrier international de l'Académie des sciences de l'URSS. Name subsequently changed to: Institute of Comparative Political Sciences, Moscow; Institute of Comparative Political and Labour Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. No recent activity reported since 1996.
Aims
Carry out research in the following areas: theoretical, ideological and practical problems of the labour movement; new phenomena in the labour movements of capitalist countries; development of the working class in socialist society under conditions of scientific-technological revolution; processes of formation and development of proletariat in countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America; problems of the international trade union movement.
