The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

Aims
Act as a regional body that facilitates contact and mutual cooperation between student organizations of various East African universities; provide a forum for discussion and exchange of academic and other activities related to university students and relevant to the interests of the peoples of East Africa; provide a unifying platform through which East African students may forge a common stand in domestic and international relations.
Structure
Governing body, consisting of all Chairmen/Presidents and Secretaries-General of member organizations, one representative of each member University Administration, one representative from a national students' body and Executive Secretary. Executive Committee, composed of member organizations' Chairmen, the Executive Secretary, with CUSEA Chairman as its Chairman.
