Nov 1985, Geneva (Switzerland), at Executive Council meeting of H-XD6565 - Association mondiale de prospective sociale (AMPS). Also referred to in English as International Fund for Research on Hunger. Ceased to exist.
Aims
Address the problem of world hunger by giving central priority to famine and its effects, to which all other priorities must be related, and by attacking the root causes of poverty; revive food production through encouraging marginalized farming communities to increase production; direct food crop production development towards farms in general, managing available natural resources, providing suitable incentives and introducing services and equipment; assist in removal of structural constraints to the best use of human, natural and technical resources which arise outside the rural world; reinforce cultural and technical heritage of peasant societies.
