26 Oct 1976, Rome (Italy), as Union of Local and Non Local General Service Staff of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UGSS) -- Syndicat du personnel local et non local des services généraux de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture -- Sindicato del Personal Local y no Local de los Servicios Generales de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Agricultura y la Alimentación -- Sindacato del Personale Locale e non Locale dei Servizi Generali dell'Organizzazione per l'Alimentazione e l'Agricoltura delle Nazioni Unite, when recognition agreement with Director-General of FAO came into effect, to represent general service staff members of B-XB0971 - FAO and F-XE3543 - World Food Programme (WFP).
Aims
Safeguard conditions of employment of General Service staff and fight for improvements in a broad range of areas such as career development, health insurance coverage, staff security, work/family arrangements, pensions and matters of general staff welfare.
