Dec 1993, Puebla (Mexico), by: Inter-American Scout Committee (ISC); International Falcon Movement Socialist Educational International (IFM-SEI); International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY); World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY); COPPPAL Youth; National Youth Council of Chile; National Youth Council El Salvador; National Youth Council of Uruguay; National Youth Council of Peru. Also referred to in English as Coordination Platform of Youth Organizations in Latin America.

Aims

Be an area for the convergence of national, social international and political international platforms and NGOs specializing in youth; develop and strengthen youth association as a means to achieve the protagonist participation of young people in the development strategies of Latin American countries and the improvement of the quality of life for young people on the continent; be an interlocutor and agent of consultation and debate with youth organizations, NGOs, international cooperation agencies and bodies, governmental structures and supranational bodies; encourage and coordinate joint research, policies and work among member youth organizations; strengthen the technical management ability of members; foment the creation of public agencies dealing with youth.
