History
1981, in the framework of E-XD4156 - Consejo de Educación de Adultos de América Latina (CEAAL), as Women's Network of the Council for Adult Education in Latin America -- Red de Mujeres del Consejo de Educación de Adultos de América Latina (REPEM). Autonomous status within CEAAL since 1988. Also referred to in Spanish as Red de Educación Popular entre Mujeres.
Aims
Support the grass roots women's movement; coordinate NGOs and individuals in countries of the region; promote collective action, projects, efforts and hopes in the search for equality and peace; facilitate the shaping of popular education methodology and technology from a feminist perspective.
