History
Founded at a meeting held by representatives of American national development foundations. Incorporated in the Dominican Republic by Presidential Decree 4259, 29 Jan 1974, as a civil and non-profit association.
Aims
Exercise multinational representation of members when they act jointly; assist and support individual and collective work of members; coordinate joint programmes; stimulate participation of the Latin American private sector in social development activities in their respective countries; make available the necessary information to extend and improve members' work; administer funds for members' development projects.
