Founded at Inaugural Assembly which formally adopted the Constitution, following 2nd International Congress on Theory of Machines and Mechanism.
Constitution most recently amended at 12th General Assembly, 2015, Taimei (Taiwan).
Aims
Promote developments in the field of machines and mechanisms by theoretical and experimental research and practical application; broaden contacts among persons and organizations engaged in this field; promote exchange of scientific and engineering information, experts and students among countries; honour eminent scientists, engineers and organizations in the field; establish necessary relationships with other international organizations.
