Sep 1979. Replaced, 1991, by D-XD2872 - Confederation of European Paper Industries (Cepi), on merger with H-XD0691 - European Confederation of Pulp, Paper and Board Industries.
Aims
Collect and distribute to members statistics of production and apparent consumption of pulp, paper, board and waste paper on a quarterly basis; analyse and report on economic, market and technological trends likely to affect production and consumption of pulp, paper, board and major raw materials; assist individual product groups formed by producers of specific paper grades such as newsprint, uncoated woodfree, hardwood pulp and coordinate their activities when necessary; be available as an active, neutral and well-informed arbiter of internal paper industry problems relating to market statistics or demand and supply forecasts; act as an external spokesperson for the European paper industry as a whole when requested.
