History
1957, as Confederation of Cooperatives of the Caribbean (CCC). Reactivated in 1979; reorganized and current title adopted 1980.
Aims
Foster and encourage development, integration, consolidation, representation and defence of cooperatives in the region; by this means achieve structural change in the countries concerned, so they can democratize their political, social and economic life within a concept of justice, participation and peace.
