Subsequently changed title to: International Association of Religious Journalism and Publishing, 1905; International Bureau of Religious Journalists, 1917; International Union of the Catholic Press – Union internationale de la press catholique (UIPC), 15 Dec 1927 (Belgium); International Catholic Union of the Press – Union catholique internationale de la presse (UCIP) – Unión Católica Internacional de la Prensa – Katholische Weltunion der Presse, 1966, following 7th World Congress, 1965, New York NY (USA); International Catholics Organisation of the Media (ICOM) – Organisation internationale de catholiques dans les Médias – Organización internacional de católicos en los medios – Internationale Organisation der Katholiken in den Medien, 2011, with full title International Catholics Organisation of the Media - The World Forum of Professionals and Institutions in Secular and Religious Media – Organisation internationale de catholiques dans les Médias - Le forum mondial des professionnels et institutions dans le journalisme séculier et religieux – Organización internacional en los medios - El Foro Mundial de los Profesionales e Instituciones en el Periodismo Secular y Religioso – Internationale Organisation der Katholiken in den Medien - Weltforum von Medienschaffenden und Einrichtungen im säkularen und religiösen Journalismus. Aims
Link all who exercise an influence on public opinion through the press and the media, with a view to intensifying their efforts; inspire a high standard of professional conscience in journalists; develop friendship and exchange of information among journalists; represent and promote journalism at international institutions and events worldwide.
