Founded by Adolph Kolping, as a Catholic based organization providing help to journeymen in their personal and professional problems. Expanded to include men and women of all ages and social levels.
Enable members to present themselves as Christians to the world, in their occupations, their marriages and families, in society and state; serve the needs of members and of society as a whole; promote general welfare in a Christian spirit through active participation of individual members and their groups; cooperate in the continuous renewal and humanization of society.
