Association of European Manufacturers of Gas Meters, Gas Pressure Regulators, Safety Devices and Stations (FARECOGAZ)
Founded 1968. Original title: Union of European Manufacturers of Gas Meters -- Union des fabricants européens de compteurs de gaz -- Vereinigung der Europäischen Gaszähler-Hersteller. Has also been referred to: in French as Chambre syndicale des fabricants de compteurs de gaz; in English and French as Association of European Gas Meter Manufacturers -- Association des fabricants européens de compteurs de gaz (FACOGAZ). New name adopted 2011, upon merger with H-XD3602 - European Association of the Manufacturers of Gas Pressure Regulators and Safety Devices.
Act as a forum for exchange of views cooperating towards a regulatory framework; promote safety, quality, reliability, cost effectiveness, sustainability and environmental aspects of gas metering equipment, gas pressure regulators and associated safety devices and stations; actively promote and monitor standardization activities; monitor and take action on technical legislation at EU level.
