1978, as Office of European Associations in Higher Education (OEA). For some time did not exist as a separate unit but as the part of Office for Cooperation in Education (OCE) (Brussels) within E-XE5838 - European Institute of Education and Social Policy (EIESP) (Paris). Reconstituted, 1988, as Secretariat of European Associations in Higher Education (HEURAS), and managed by F-XF5152 - Network of European Foundations (NEF). Restructured as an independent body, 1 Sep 1994, when current name was adopted.
Provide support and information to associations, non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations and networks involved in education on a European and international level.
