History
Established 1980, as European Network of National Information Centres on Academic Mobility and Equivalence, within the framework of D-XD0435 - Council of Europe (CE), under activities developing from T-XT5467 - European Cultural Convention. Since 1994, a joint network with B-XB3383 - UNESCO.
Aims
Bring together the national information centres of the states party to the European Cultural Convention and/or the Council of Europe/UNESCO Convention on Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region; implement the Convention for Recognition of Academic Qualifications (Lisbon Recognition Convention), and, in general, develop policy and practice for the recognition of qualifications.
