1947, Paris (France), as International Union of Photo-Engravers and Stereotypers -- Union internationale de la photogravure et de la clicherie-galvanotypie. Name changed, 1968, to International Union of Graphic Reproduction Industries -- Union internationale des industries de reproduction graphique (UI) Unión Internacional de las Industrias de Reproducción Grafica -- Internationale Union der Reproduktionsindustrie -- Unione Internazionale delle Industrie di Riproduzione Grafica. Present name adopted 1990. Previously registered by ministerial Decree, 25 May 1951, France; currently registered in Bern (Switzerland). Most recent statutes adopted 10 Jun 1988. No longer exists.
Aims
Uphold basic principles of private enterprise, personal initiative and independence; promote international cooperation and defence of private enterprise in the framework of the private sector of the economy for the benefit of the reproduction industry.
