Original Statutes adopted 24 Sep 1988, Antwerp (Belgium), during General Assembly and finalized 5 Dec 1988, Brussels (Belgium), by Executive Committee. Current name adopted Sep 2004. Current Statutes adopted 20 Sep 2004, Barcelona (Spain), during General Assembly, and finalized 4 Dec 2006, Cape Town (South Africa), during General Assembly.
Serve as a link between individuals and groups committed to, or interested in, basic income, ie an income unconditionally granted to all on an individual basis, without means test or work requirement; stimulate and disseminate research; foster informed public discussion on this topic throughout the world.
