Encourage research and regulation of practice of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery; study and teach methods of introducing guided electrodes and other instruments into the human nervous system, as well as promote scientific investigations in connection with these endeavours; investigate the genesis and causes of diseases of the nervous system and their treatment; teach and promote investigation on the functioning of the nervous system and its parts; establish scholarships for educational training in these fields.
