1974, as European Association of Manufacturers of Business Machines Data Processing Equipment -- Association européenne des fabricants de machines de bureau et d'informatique -- Europäische Vereinigung der Industrie für Büro und Informationstechnik -- Associazione Europea Costruttori Macchine per Ufficio e per il Trattamento delle Informazioni. Merged with ECTEL-European Telecommunications and Professional Electronics Industry to form DIGITALEUROPE, 1 Jan 2000.
