2 Jun 1994, at Prix Jeunesse International Contest, following proposal at meeting of Prix Jeunesse, 23-26 May 1993, Munich (Germany). Ceased to exist 2006.
Aims
Act as a global network of principal international organizations dedicated to promotion of television for children; share knowledge and expertise to ensure that children's television respects their needs, concerns, interests and culture; develop strategies for meaningful application of television and related technology for children and young people; help preserve children's world of happiness and health, so that they may grow up to be responsible citizens.
