History
30 Oct 1999, when constitution adopted. Also referred to as European College of Theriogenology. Registered in accordance with Austrian law.
Aims
Advance veterinary activities in the field of animal reproduction; improve quality of veterinary practice; diagnose, treat and prevent reproductive diseases in domestic animals, wildlife and exotic animals; perform and advance techniques in reproductive biotechnology, including semen preservation, embryo transfer and associated techniques; advise breeders associations, government institutions, international agencies and wildlife and nature conservation authorities; provide specialist officials and supervisors for animal reproduction and animal breeding institutions and associations; define and describe specialty disciplines in the field and establish and define the standard of qualification; develop graduate teaching programmes and develop and supervise continuing education programmes; encourage pursuit of original investigation and contribute to scientific literature.
