1983, at the instigation of H-XD1932 - Fédération européenne des producteurs autonomes et des consommateurs industriels d'énergie (FEPACE). This latter organization has been superseded by the European branch of IFIEC, E-XE0916 - International Federation of Industrial Energy Consumers, Europe (IFIEC - Europe). As of 2006 "ceased to exist".
Represent international energy consumers in all international bodies and authorities concerned with energy problems; promote the most efficient use by industry of the world's energy resources; support studies on energy availability, technology and economics; support industrial development and use of alternative energy resources appropriate to each region of the world; encourage adoption of reasonable energy policies by governments; provide a forum for technical and scientific discussions.
