1955, Rotterdam (Netherlands), as International Casting Federation (ICF) -- Fédération international de lancer. Constitution adopted Sep 1958; revised: 1973, Scarborough (UK); Jul 1984, Toronto (Canada); Jul 1986, Madrid (Spain); Feb 1995, The Hague (Netherlands); Feb 1997, The Hague. Present name adopted 13 Apr 2003.

Aims

Promote and encourage the sport of casting throughout the World in conformity with Olympic principles; follow and lead the evaluation of casting sport; frame and interpret ICF Rules and Regulations; promote and sanction international competitions in bait, fly and surf-casting activities.

General Assembly (every 2 years). Board of Directors (meets at least 3 times a year) consisting of President, 5 Board members and Secretary General-Treasurer. Court of Arbitration for Sport.
