Organizes: 'Incentive Grants Program (IGP)' through the 'Open Society Institute', New York NY (USA); Local Authorities Self-Assessment of Local Agenda 21 (LASALA), coordinated through ICLEI European secretariat as a Europe-wide project identifying eco-efficient urban management as a contribution to European Sustainable Cities and Towns Campaign, co-funded by DG Research of the European Commission; training courses in a joint project with Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC) and Åbo Akademi University, Turku (Finland); LA21 Charters Project (with IULA), establishing North-South partnerships for mutual assistance; capacity building for UNCHS Global Urban Indicators Project; LA21 in Latin America Network; 'Asia Pacific Mayors' Action Plan for Sustainable Development and Local Agenda 21'. ICLEI European Secretariat 'AQUA' project supports integration of water protection into the LA 21 process.
