History
May 1968, Madrid (Spain), at General Assembly of B-XB0220 - Catholic International Education Office, by delegates of parents' organizations. Derives from efforts of International Committee of Parents Associations of the Catholic Education which met informally from 1961, Brussels (Belgium), and decision in 1967, Lyon (France), at congress of the French national association of parents. Also referred to in English as International Group of Associations of Parents of Pupils of Catholic Education.
