The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Oct 1968, Edinburgh (UK), by members of International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC). Reconfirmed Jan 1969, Vienna (Austria); restructured 1993, Copenhagen (Denmark). Registered in Denmark. Previously a sector association within World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation (WYSE Travel Confederation). Currently fully subsumed under WYSE Travel Confederation.

Aims

Develop cooperation between travel organizations marketing to the student/youth sector in various countries engaged in organizing special fares by: improving services, establishing common policies and procedures, introducing technical improvements, representing members on matters of common interest.
