1930, Paris (France), as Comité international pour la diffusion des arts, des lettres et des sciences par le cinématographe. Later became International Committee for the Diffusion of Artistic and Literary Works by the Cinema -- Comité international pour la diffusion artistique et littéraire par le cinéma. Subsequently also known as International Committee of Film and Culture. Registered in accordance with French law. Statutes adopted 23-29 Jan 1961, Valencia (Spain).
Aims
Promote the creation, diffusion and exchange of educational, cultural and documentary films and all other films which have, in whole or in part, any such characteristics, in order to contribute to the mutual understanding of peoples through better acquaintance with their mode of thought and laws, and their social, economic, cultural and geographical circumstances.
