Develop a scientific community for all those interested in maritime, air or land navigation; follow up the latest technologies and the latest achievements in general navigation, electronic navigation, satellite navigation and communications, VTS, etc; collect information on scientific and technological development in fields directly related to navigation, such as astronomy, charts, oceanography, electronics and communications; conduct research into safety navigation developments and safety of off-shore units such as mobile and fixed off-shore drilling units and related service marine units; keep up with the latest trends in fire fighting equipments and pollution prevention on board maritime units.
