Founded as European Standing Conference of Geography Teachers' Associations (ESCGTA) – Conférence permanente européenne des associations de professeurs de géographie (CEPG). Jan 1995, name changed to European Network of Geography Teachers' Associations (EUROGEO). Current title adopted 2008, Liverpool (UK).
Develop, support and promote policies designed to advance the status of geography; establish and promote cross-border cooperation in the field; promote education and training in geography from a European perspective; represent nationally and internationally members' views.
