Contribute to and support a closer cooperation among European associations which deal with Latin America; promote the cooperation of these associations with equivalent Latin American bodies and carry out analytical studies mainly on critical problems of Latin American societies; emphasize especially the contribution of social sciences to a better knowledge of present Latin America, with its regions and as a whole; strengthen, as far as possible, the interest of Europe for Latin America.
