1982, Belgium. Also referred to as International Adult Cystic Fibrosis Association. Jan 2003, merged with H-XC1780 - International Cystic Fibrosis / Mucoviscidosis / Association (ICFMA) to form C-XC0133 - Cystic Fibrosis Worldwide (CFW).
Assist in improving the quality of life by identifying common problems, attempting to define possible solutions, and enhancing the exchange of information in the world community of cystic fibrosis (CF); cooperate with the CF community in defining new needs arising in the treatment of adults with cystic fibrosis, and in raising the awareness of the medical profession to CF adults as a new challenge; provide hope for those to come.
