1978, as Association for International Cooperation in Agriculture and Forestry (AICAF). Present name adopted, 2004, when merged with U-XM0921 - Japan International Agricultural Council (JIAC), originally set up 1983. Japan FAO Association merges into JAICAF, 1 Apr 2007.
Contribute to development of global economic society by: promoting mutual understanding between Japan and foreign countries in the domains of food and agriculture; facilitating smooth and effective implementation of international collaboration in agriculture and forestry; providing emergency food assistance.
