23 Mar 1963, London (UK). Also known as Conseil des comités nationaux européens de jeunesse. Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist, 31 Dec 1996, on merger with H-XE8637 - Youth Forum of the European Union (YFEU) and H-XD3943 - European Coordination Bureau of International Youth Organizations (ECB) to form D-XD5676 - European Youth Forum.

Aims

Encourage cooperation among young people in Europe and promote communication among member Committees, enabling them to initiate and implement policies to further European cooperation; represent members to governmental and nongovernmental European institutions and to appropriate international bodies; promote democratic participation by young people within youth organizations and in their individual societies; assist them to develop a European consciousness based on mutual respect and understanding by creating an awareness of the different traditions of the common European culture.

General Assembly (every 2 years). Executive Committee (meets twice a year), consisting of one member and one observer from each member country. Bureau, composed of President and 5 Vice-Presidents.
