The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Launched 21 Nov 2003, Valencia (Spain). Officially founded Oct 2005. Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist, May 2013, on merger with Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP), to become ASTP-Proton.

Aims

Develop and represent knowledge and technology transfer from public research organizations in Europe; stimulate exchange of working methods, operating procedures and professional know-how relating to the transfer of knowledge/technology from universities and public research centres to industry.
