History
26 Feb 1960, Tegucigalpa (Honduras), as Central American Air Safety Services Corporation, on signature of agreement by 5 Central American governments. The Convention was subsequently ratified by the governments of Honduras (17 May 1960), Nicaragua (30 Jun 1960), Guatemala (Guatemala) (8 Jun 1961), El Salvador (14 Sep 1961), Costa Rica (20 Nov 1963). Statutes registered in 'UNTS 1/6022' and ICAO 1597. Belize (Belize) subscribed the document, 1 Oct 1996.
Aims
Protect human life in the air space of Central America by putting into operation speedy, safe and efficient installations and services for aerial navigation and telecommunications.
