Assist member countries, within the framework of technical cooperation among developing countries, in realizing the objectives of sustained acceleration of agricultural production and development and improvement of inter-regional trade and national and regional food security through agricultural food marketing improvements and development; promote, enhance and coordinate technical and economic ties among member institutions; establish a mechanism for systematic exchange of information and experience; encourage organization and coordination of technical activities of common interest; develop and enhance relations with regional and international organizations interested in the field.
