The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).


Oct 1966, Brussels (Belgium), as European Association of Directory Publishers -- Association européenne des éditeurs d'annuaires -- Europäischer Adressbuchverlegerverband. Subsequently changed title to European Association of Directory and Database Publishers (EADP) -- Association européenne des éditeurs d'annuaires et de bases de données -- Europäischer Verband der Adressbuch- und Datenbankverleger. Articles of Association amended Oct 1968, July 1973 and Sep 1999. Code of Professional Practice adopted by Assembly of Delegates, 25 Oct 1969, Munich (Germany FR) and changed 11 May 2012, Brussels (Belgium). Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist when merged with EIDQ Association to become Search and Information Industry Association (SIINDA), 1 Jan 2014.


Promote the exchange of information on technical, commercial and management problems in directory and search publishing; protect interests of professional directory publishers.
