Furthers research and advocacy on the theme of the right to development as the basis for human rights work. Works against the violations of human rights. Advances the discussion of 'The Right of Sovereignty and Self-Determination'as a basis for consideration of human rights, recognizing that the economic models for development being advanced by restricted democracies leave aside this right. Focuses the discussion around the foreign debt in light of the impact it has upon the economic and social rights of the citizens of the countries with a large debt. Works on the campaign for the 'Respect for International Law'. Monitors prison conditions and treatment of prisoners. Conferences; seminars; exhibitions; letter writing; petitions; press releases. Focuses on Latin America.
