Promote waste management and protection of the environment in countries of the European Union; represent national associations and federations with the European Commission and the European Parliament; advise working committees of the EU on questions concerning treatment and disposal of all types of waste (household, industrial, hazardous), recycling and recovery; provide for exchange of know-how on these matters.
