Set up 25 May 1981, by the Agreement signed by the Governments of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Member States and Japan. Also referred to as ASEAN-Japan Centre.

Aims

Enhance the economic partnership between ASEAN Member States and Japan through: promotion of export; acceleration of flow of investment; vitalization of tourist traffic; expansion of exchanges of persons.
