Founded 1955, Hamburg (Germany FR), on the occasion of 3rd International Bread Congress as International Association for Cereal Chemistry -- Association internationale de chimie cérçalière -- Asociación Internacional de Quimica de los Cereales -- Internationale Gesellschaft für Getreidechemie -- Mezdunarodnoe Obscestvo po Himii Zerna. Present title adopted 8 June 1984, Vienna (Austria), where headquarters and secretariat are located.

Aims

Contribute to advancement of cereal science and technology in all its aspects; study and standardize test methods in cereal science and related fields, including flour chemistry and milling; relate the results of scientific and technological research to the more efficient utilization of cereals; establish and maintain contacts among cereal scientists and technologists.
