Commonwealth Consortium for Education (CCfE)
Founded 2001, by a group of education-related Commonwealth NGOs. Formally constituted in 2003. Received formal accreditation to the Commonwealth, Dec 2004.
Coordinate efforts of education-related Commonwealth NGOs on behalf of Commonwealth education; stimulate more coherence in their work; provide a collective mechanism for interaction with ministries and official Commonwealth organizations; promote development of education throughout the Commonwealth; provide analysis to support formulation of policies on Commonwealth educational cooperation; assist Commonwealth inter-governmental agencies to draw on CSO resources and expertise; develop and disseminate models of good practice in education; constitute a forum which will promote cooperation by members.
