Established as a decentralized agency of F-XF2147 - European Union (EU). Operational as of 1 Jun 2008.

Aims

Manage all REACH (Regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), CLP (Regulation on Classification, Packaging and Labelling of substances and mixtures), Biocides, and Prior Informed Consent Chemicals tasks by carrying out or coordinating the necessary activities, so as to ensure a consistent implementation at Community level and provide Member States and the EU with the best possible scientific advice on questions related to the safety and the socio-economic aspects of the use of chemicals.
