Founded 10 Feb 1983, Ravello (Italy), upon the initiative of the Italian Parliamentary Delegation to the D-XD0435 - Council of Europe (CE), under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the Council and of the Italian Government. Since 1987, one of the Specialist Centres of the European network F-XF1447 - Open Partial Agreement on the Prevention of, Protection against and Organization of Relief in Major Natural and Technological Disasters (EUR-OPA Major Hazards Agreement), managed by the Council of Europe. Legally recognized through a decree of the President of the Italian Republic. Registered in accordance with Italian law.
Offer a reference, lively and advanced structure to all academics and operators interested in culture promotion; promote knowledge, management and fruition of cultural heritage through an interdisciplinary approach; realize research and education activities useful to supply scientific, methodological and operative support of high level decision makers responsible for heritage and cultural activities; cooperate with universities.
