Dear colleagues,

I am writing on behalf of the Liaison Committee to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, we took the decision to delay the NGO Forum on
Global Citizenship which will now be held on 6 and 7 December 2021.

The Steering Group of the Forum is working very hard; we have a fantastic platform of speakers already confirmed and we are grateful to those many NGOs who have already contributed videos and sent input on surveys and questionnaires on their work towards Global Citizenship.

title:Vienna Meeting Fund 2021-2023 supports business meetings in the Austrian capital

Vienna is supporting organizers of congresses and corporate events through the Vienna Meeting Fund 2021-2023. Set up by the City of Vienna, the EUR 4 million fund is aimed at domestic and international organizers who are planning meetings to be held in Vienna until 31 December 2023. Applications are possible until three weeks before the starting date of the event.

Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) received Thailand Energy Awards in the category of excellent controlled building, organized by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy. BITEC has implemented building energy management as determined by law and there is a concrete energy conservation performance. It is considered another important development of the Bhiraj Buri Group in terms of energy conservation and renewable energy development at the national level.

CONVENTION BUREAUS YOUR INPUT WILL BE APPRECIATED

To ensure that venues and local suppliers are able to welcome conference guests again in the near future, local/national governments are starting to offer some sort of (financial) support. In the last couple of weeks more and more destinations are communicating about this support. It is difficult for conference organizers to have an overview of what is being offered where, although this knowledge can be necessary to start organizing conferences again.
