Overview
The Yearbook of International Organizations includes detailed information on over 78,500 international organizations from 300 countries and territories, about 45,000 of which are active organizations. Coverage includes intergovernmental (IGOs) and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Approximately 1,200 new organizations are added each year.
The Yearbook is a trusted tool for studies and research in all subjects of civil society activities, including Political Science, Law, International Studies, International Relations, Sociology, Demography and Peace Studies.
The Yearbook data is edited by an experienced editorial staff and presented in a standardized format to facilitate comparison between organizations.

Expanded Yearbook Online via API
The data found in UIA's Yearbook of International Organizations will soon be accessible via a REST API for easier statistical and network analysis by researchers. This service, new in 2026, will contain the current Yearbook data (as provided via our online subscription) as well as profiles from published Yearbooks of past years, back to 2002. Users will be granted access to the API via a system of credits, with details for pricing and tiers still to be determined.
