History
Originated in a collaboration between Spanish, Portuguese and Italian prots and cities, created in 2001, Lisbon (Portugal). Formal identity acquired when current title was adopted. Statutes approved 30 Nov 2017.
Aims
Build an international network of port cities and ports, with particular, but not exclusive, reference to those in Southern and Mediterranean Europe and Latin America; develop and improve mutual relations and cooperation, so as to achieve a balanced and qualified development of urban and port areas.
