Formalized during 6th Brazilian Meeting of Chemical Ecology, 1-4 Dec 2009. Bylaws approved by General Assembly during 1st meeting, Oct 2010, Uruguay.
Aims
Promote the study of the role of naturally occurring compounds which mediate interactions between organisms and their environment; strengthen interaction between Latin American scientists and develop contacts with scientists from outside the subcontinent so as to establish Chemical Ecology as an important part of the Latin American science; be a platform for regional collaboration.
