Founded

2010

History

Started as a project, but developing into a permanent organization, ready in 2025. Phases: EHRI-1 (Oct 2010 - Mar 2015); EHRI-2 (May 2015 - Oct 2019); EHRI Preparatory Phase EHRI-PP (Dec 2019 - Nov 2022); EHRI-3 (Sep 2020 - Aug 2024) EHRI-IP (Feb 2024 - Feb 2026).

Aims

Engage in trans-national Holocaust research, commemoration and education; overcome the wide dispersal of sources and expertise across many institutions by connecting sources, institutions and people; enable online access to information about Holocaust sources, no matter where they are located; promote innovative tools that advance the digital transformation of Holocaust research.
